Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, quiet town. Many people who don't know about the place mistakenly think that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually, this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often called her birthplace. It is true that she stayed there for a short period of time. Brugel was raised on Courtice just outside Oshawa within Ontario. She was determined to be a professional dancer but due to a rapid increase in her height, she outgrew all of her dancing partners. A Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. The moment I outgrew the size of my male companion then I slowed down. Many former dancers turn to acting, and in the case of Brugel, it was a suggestion from the drama instructor at her high school which pushed her in the right direction. She was encouraged to audition for a part in a school production. It was her choice to take on the principal character of Anne of Green Gables after she had a go at. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on both the small and big screen. The most notable was her recognition when she landed her character of Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale, a series that was filmed over ten years ago.
