Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous for his role as the star of the well-known television series Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was at college, Christopher Meloni has been attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His television characters have gained him a lot of popularity. It is no surprise that his characters have been able to capture audiences' attention by playing characters that are either sides of the law. His first project was a TV serial but he later played a detective for the NYPD. He has been nominated multiple times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances.
