Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. While in college, he started to develop an interest in acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. While he has appeared in movies and in television shows, it is the character actors on smaller screens that have given him popularity. His ability to portray characters on both sides of law has captured the attention of audiences. He was the character of the serial killer on his debut television show and then later played an NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he has received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The most striking of his facial traits is believed to be the sharp blue eyes which have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
