Swift's passion for music was evident when she was a young age. From children's plays to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. Swift was 11 years old when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The following year, she began writing songs and picked up the guitar. Swift got inspiration from musicians in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to come up with original songs that reflected the loneliness she felt at 13. Swift was only thirteen when her parents made the decision to let go of their Pennsylvania farm and move to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her efforts to contacting label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
