Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti and was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is a US singer songwriter. Ashanti, a teenage performer, songwriter and actress in the US, was signed by Murder Inc. Records to record in 2002. She appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year. song and Ja Rule's Always On Time track. Both of them were huge hits. Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also known as Ashanti was born on October 13 the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas was her mother and Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas had before performed as a vocalist. The Kenashia Shia family is their youngest sibling.
